Volume of a Cube

Volume of a Cube was composed for Virginia Tech Percussion by Drew Worden during the spring of 2017. The piece can be performed with 8+ performers. VTP Performs this work live for 18 percussionists. Instrumentation for each set-up includes one piece of wood, one resonant metal, one non-resonant metal, and a tom-tom (or bass drum). The interlude features a vibraphone solo, and the third movement (Depth) adds 2 five octave marimbas, vibes, glockenspiels, and crotales.
